Selling my rare 1966 Ford F100 factory 4x4 that came optioned with longbed, 352FE V8, and Custom Cab interior.
I acquired this truck in 2021, where it’d been sitting in the desert for almost a decade, got it running, completed maintenance/improvement tasks, and have been using it since for camping and mountain biking. Truck drives great off and on road, including freeway driving.

For 1966, Ford produced less than 4,500 of these Styleside 4x4s and it was the first year where F100 4x4s included the more comfortable riding front coil springs, plus this truck was optioned with the upgraded Dana 60.3 rearend and many other unique additions. Dash shows 85,000 miles, and it doesn’t appear the odometer has rolled over, judging by the truck’s overall condition.

No trades, have clean CA title in-hand.

-- Modifications --
Carb: Original carb missing. Installed is Carter AFB Competition Series 4-barrel, model 9605s-3522 (600cfm), which has been rebuilt.

Intake: original intake missing. Installed intake is Ford C5AE-9425-C ('65 352/390 T-bird, cast iron 4V).

Radiator: installed new Champion aluminum Heavy Duty radiator (3-row) custom made with proper 2-inch inlet/outlet, then painted with Eastwood black radiator paint. Sacrificial anode rod installed in lower radiator drain hole.

Engine Fan: installed Derale Rigid 6-blade fan.

Wheels/tires: sourced original Ford 16x5-inch wheels with proper 5x5.5-inch bolt pattern, that were optional on this truck, along with matching “Outie” hubcaps. Had wheels powder-coated black, bought new Deestone D503 32-inch diameter bias-ply tires, and had them mounted/balanced. Speedo cable gear replaced to provide proper speedometer/odometer reading with these larger diameter tires.

Body: front grille replaced with Ford ’65 version, installed new Dynacorn radiator support, passenger side front fender replaced with Ford unit from earlier F100, passenger side door and bed re-painted in tan color.

Seat: re-upholstered in black many years ago, now covered with tan patterned seat cover.

Instruments: Amp gauge converted into volt gauge and all associated amp gauge wiring removed.

Gas tank: installed new Dynacorn gas tank.

Headlights: High and Low beam headlight relay kit installed, to improve performance of headlights and reduce headlight switch failure.

Ignition: installed new PerTronix Ignitor 1 module to replace points, new plug wires, new vacuum advance canister, new PerTronix Flamethrower 1 epoxy coil, and running one range hotter spark plug. Truck’s factory pink resistance wire has been bypassed, but not removed, and new larger gage wire installed to provide PerTronix coil with full 12v.

-- Maintenance I’ve completed --

Sealed many holes in firewall and floorpan.

Cleaned rust and old sealant out of cab roof drip rail and seams, then re-sealed with white caulking.

Glass: Windshield and rear glass professionally removed, new seals installed, and re-installed with front chrome trim.

Doors: Door window tracks, vent windows seals, and door seals all replaced/rebuilt.

Restored fender badges. Hired artist to hand design “FOUR WHEEL DRIVE” template on computer, then print vinyl stencils to aid in painting silver letters. Used OneShot sign paint for the silver/black letters and red background.

New timing chain and fuel pump, inspected and re-sealed water pump.

Intake removed and new gaskets installed, along with new valve cover gaskets.

Oil pan removed and oil pump + pickup inspected. Running SAE 40 straight weight engine oil and Motorcraft filter.

Heater/WaterPump/Radiator hoses replaced, new 180F thermostat tested and installed.

Completed compression check on warm engine with readings between 125-145psi.

New glasspak mufflers installed, and remainder of exhaust system welded together.

Front 4x4: completely disassembled and rebuilt hubs/knuckles with new seals/bearings, kingpins properly shimmed, new MileMarker manual locking hubs installed. Also removed front diff cover, cleaned out old oil, inspected ring/pinion teeth, re-installed cover, then filled with new Lucas 80w-90 gear oil.

Front suspension rebuilt: all rubber pieces replaced.

Shocks: New front/rear Gabriel Classic shocks installed.

Rearend: new wheel bearings/seals installed, ring/pinion teeth inspected, new Lucas 80w-90 gear oil installed that includes friction modifier for limited slip diff.

Front and rear drive shafts rebuilt with new u-joints and sliding dust sleeves.

Clutch: installed new Luk clutch kit with diaphragm PP and new clutch disc, resurfaced flywheel. At same time I opened trans and inspected gears/bearings, then installed new shifter internal linkage kit. Also rebuilt Dana 21 transfer case with new bearings/seals. Using SAE 50 straight weight engine oil in both trans and transfer case.

Steering gearbox: filled with Tacky Red grease.

Brakes: new wheel cylinders, new internal springs, properly adjusted star wheels, properly adjusted parking brake, fabricated new rear brake lines, new rear brake hose. Speed Bleeders installed to aid in one-person bleeding.

Constant Voltage Regulator replaced on back of instrument panel. Voltage regulator in engine compartment tested good and is modern electronic design. Alternator was taken to shop for testing and passed at all RPMs.

Oil Pressure Gauge: had Oil Pressure gauge professional rebuilt and calibrated.

Battery: New AGM battery, new battery cables.

New horn installed, new horn relay, horn contacts in steering wheel replaced.

All vehicle wiring inspected and repaired with soldered connections.

-- Outstanding Issues --
Oil Pressure caution light doesn’t work. Wiring harness and sensor is needed, but I did source the adapter block that allows mounting the Oil Pressure sending unit AND oil pressure sensor concurrently.

Exhaust manifolds leak.

Radio/antenna is missing and previous owner cut up dash to fit larger radio.

Headliner missing but sun visors installed. Also have some of the original side headliner pieces and damaged dome light.

Front of bed floor and tailgate have rust. A rubber bed mat is installed to distribute loads and it has worked great for filling the truckbed with camping gear.

Rear License plate light isn’t installed. I have light that came with truck but it needs repair.

Even with new seals, truck still has small water leaks that seep into cab with heavy rain.

Door window felt strips need to be installed.
