She tried battling her depression with anti-depressants which made her feel suicidal, spontaneous, and irritable. After getting severe emotional difficulties, she withdrew from the university, but her situation worsened.

She soon gave up her dietary habits and medications, which had an incredible impact on her life. She later returned to university. Her younger sister passed away after committing suicide in the summer of 2013 when she was around 21 years old. She met a friend of her older brother named Teebs Liebersteen, who became her boyfriend. His nickname is Terry and they are presently engaged.

Around Mid-November, Kassie had bought a puppy, “Anjing”, a German shepherd. Anjing was also the name of her Bulldog that she had back in childhood.
