The couple admitted that they couldn't make their long-distance relationship work - with Gerry residing in Hudson, Indiana, and Theresa living in Shrewsbury, New Jersey.

"I was upset with the Gerry and Theresa split. I'm going to stick to a perspective I heard the other day and I agree, they were supposed to be the standard," Tyler, 31, confessed to The U.S. Sun while promoting his partnership with Arm & Hammer.

"They were supposed to be the ones that held us together and gave us [the] belief that relationships can work on this show, and they just get divorced after three months?"

"No, I just can't look at them the same anymore. I don't believe in them anymore," he continued.

Gerry made his debut as the first-ever Golden Bachelor in September 2023. During the show's finale two months later, he got down on one knee and proposed to Theresa in Costa Rica.

The duo then tied the knot on January 4 during a live ceremony surrounded by family, friends, and Bachelor alum.

Tyler, who appeared on Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette, joked, "I mean Gerry has better success than our season, so maybe we're the scammers," in response to fans saying The Golden Bachelor was fake and called for the ABC dating show to be canceled.

"At the end of the day though, these are real people, real lives, and real relationships," he continued.

"I would say that... 'Hey, [if] they're not working, they need to split up,' because nothing's worse than being in a relationship that you don't want to be in. And I hope Gerry and Theresa can figure it out."

GERRY'S NEXT PICK

Being that Tyler is based in Florida and was aware that Gerry dated contestants Ellen Goltzer and April Kirkwood, also from Florida, he believes the retired restaurateurmade the wrong choice.

"I think Gerry messed up. I think he just needs the Florida girl.

"He had some great Florida selections on that show that he just let slide. And I think that's probably Gerry's biggest mistake is you should have gotten yourself the Florida woman, man," Tyler insisted.

"I mean Gerry, if you want it, you got to go to the retired capital of the world, Florida, and you'll find your love. I'm telling you - there's something called The Villages we can put you in," he proclaimed.

In fact, Tyler thought April, who's from Port St. Lucie, was even a good match for his father, Jeff Cameron, and was trying to set him up on a date.

However, Jeff has "like five girlfriends and doesn't have enough time for all of them," Tyler joked.

Perhaps he'll make an appearance on The Golden Bachelorette although it has not been revealed who the lead will be yet.

Tyler's mother, Andrea Cameron, died in February 2020 after suffering a brain aneurysm at the age of 55.

To highlight how much of an important figure she was in his life, Tyler brings viewers into his childhood home in Jupiter, Florida, where he spends time renovating the house on his new Amazon Prime show, Going Home with Tyler Cameron.

"To be honest, Going Home withTylerCameronstarted about four years ago. We had some unforeseen circ*mstances happen that kind of delayed us," he told The U.S. Sun.

Bachelor fans will get to see "the real Tyler on this show" as well as some of his friends from the franchise - Jason Tartick, Matt James, Rachael Kirkconnell, and Hannah.

Despite not having the belief that relationships on The Bachelor/The Golden Bachelor could work, he still says "never say never" when asked if he could see himself as the lead one day.

"You don't know where life takes you. My biggest theory in life is you got to tell the greatest story," he shared.

"And I think that could be a good part of my story one day. But right now I'm busy with Going Home withTylerCameronand I want this to continue and keep growing."

All eight episodes of Going Home with Tyler Cameron will be available to stream on Prime Video on April 18.

"You can watch it all unfold, binge it all. It's finally here. We're finally there. I'm so excited," he concluded.
